Brand new website!

New year, new lots of stuff! Over the course of the past months we at Wycliffe Bible Translators UK have been thinking about the best way to encourage the UK church to get more stuck into God’s word and to understand a bit more of it’s importance in our daily lives as we seek to know Him more and to live more like Him day by day.

If we don’t have the Bible in our mother tongue, in our heart language, it’s impossible, or at least very difficult indeed, to have a better grasp of the amazing news of His grace through Jesus Christ on the cross and the impact that has on each of us.

So…in order to do this better we’ve come up with a new theme:- “Live the Story, Give the Story”. It demonstrates how the Bible is not just a historical book, it’s a true reflection of God’s heart for His people – such amazing news! The Bible needs to be something we live; we are, after all, part of God’s big picture, His-story! By His grace it has been given to us so that we can grow to know Him better and it’s not a one off, something to be read through once then put aside, it’s a continual learning curve and is something that God uses to shape us and teach us through His Spirit.

So…what’s new? Well, because of the new focus, we’ve changed our website quite significantly. We hope it will resource you, your friends and your family (both immediate and extended!) in growing closer to God and that it will be a small drop in the ocean of resources you can use to read and meditate on His word day by day.

Join me in trying to remember to thank God daily for the riches of His grace and ask for His help in understanding it more and to show you how you can be involved in helping those who don’t have any Scripture yet to have it soon!

Check out the website if you want to see how you fit in.

Having had years of postal and email Connect newsletters it is about time to think about cost-effectivity and how we can allow more people to hear about Bible Translation.

This blog will hopefully include a range of thoughts, musings and news to keep you all up to date with what God is doing through His Word.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates! More soon…
